destinations of Varanasi, Agra, Khajuraho, Gwalior, Ujjain
and Bhopal. These destinations will give you an insight into
the deep-rooted traditions, rich cultural heritage and evolution
of art and architecture of historic past.
Day-1: Delhi
Welcome to Delhi, the capital of India. You will be received
and transferred to your hotel by our representatives upon
arrival. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day-2: Delhi
After breakfast, the tour of Delhi includes Laxmi Narayan
Temple, India Gate, Parliament House, Jama Masjid and Gandhi
Memorial. Watch the Sound and Light Show at the Red Fort and
learn more about Delhi. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day-3: Delhi - Varanasi
Morning transfer to airport to catch flight to Varanasi.
On arrival check into hotel. An excursion to the Buddhist
town of Sarnath in the afternoon. It is the sacred spot where
Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after enlightenment.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day-4: Varanasi - Agra
After early breakfast, a boat ride at River Ganga followed
by a the tour of the city which includes Alamgir Mosque, Beni
Madhav Ka Darera, Dasaswamedha Ghat, Banaras Hindu University
and the Bharat Mata Temple. Transferred to the airport to
catch flight to Agra. On arrival check into hotel. In the
afternoon visit Red Fort and the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula. An
excursion to Fatehpur Sikri is also taken. Overnight stay
at hotel.
Day-5: Agra - Khajuraho
After early breakfast, visit the Taj Mahal. It is like a
beautiful poetry written on white marble remembered as the
monument of eternal love. Transfer to airport to board the
flight to Khajuraho. On arrival check into hotel. Afternoon
is for the city tour covering Western and Eastern group of.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day-6: Khajuraho - Orchha - Gwalior
After breakfast, depart from Khajuraho for Orchha, a medieval
town with some remarkable stone buildings. Visit the Jahangir
Mahal, Raj Mahal, Ram Raja Temple and Chaturbhuj Temple. Proceed
to Gwalior. On arrival check into hotel for an overnight stay.
Day-7: Gwalior - Shivpuri
After breakfast, visit the glorious Gwalior Fort to see
the Man Mandir Palace, Sas Bahu Ka Mandir and Suraj Kund within
the fort. Also visit the tombs of Tansen and Ghias Mohammed,
the Jai Vilas Palace Museum or the Jivaji Rao Scindia Museum
and the newly built Sun temple. Drive to Shivpuri from Gwalior.
On arrival, check into hotel for an overnight stay.
Day-8: Shivpuri
After breakfast, visit the chhatris or cenotaphs of Shivpuri
and Bhadaiya Kund, a mineral water spring. After lunch at
Shivpuri, visit the Madhav National Park. Overnight stay at
hotel.
Day-9: Shivpuri - Ujjain
After breakfast, depart from Shivpuri for Ujjain with packed
lunch. On arrival, check into hotel for the overnight stay.
Day-10: Ujjain
After breakfast, visit Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the
12 Jyotirlingams; Bada Ganeshji Ka Mandir and Kaliadeh Palace.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day-11: Ujjain - Mandu
After breakfast, depart for Indore. Visit the Kanch Mandir,
the Jain Temple with plain exterior but completely mirrored
with pictures of sinners being tortured in the after life
from interior. The Museum has the collections of medieval
and pre-medieval Hindu sculpture in Madhya Pradesh. After
lunch, proceed to Mandu. On arrival, check into hotel for
an overnight stay. Mandu is the city full of love legends
of Baz Bahdur and Roopmati.
Day-12: Mandu
After breakfast, visit Ashrafi Mahal, the palace of gold
coins designed as an academic institution and Rewa Kund Group
including Rewa Kund and the Hindola Mahal. Overnight stay
at hotel.
Day-13: Mandu- Bhopal
After breakfast, depart for Bhopal. Stop for lunch at Indore
and arrive in time for tea at Bhopal. Evening is free to be
spent at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day-14: Bhopal- Sanchi- Bhopal
After breakfast, proceed to Sanchi, the ancient seat of
Buddhist learning. Check out the Archaeological Museum for
the Lion Capital from the Ashoka Pillar, a Yakshi hanging
from a mango tree and a beautiful Buddha figure in red sandstone.
The Great Stupa is the perfect work of art at Sanchi and amongst
the finest examples of Buddhist art in India. Return to Bhopal
to visit the Taj-ul-Masjid, one of the largest mosques in
India, Laxmi Narayan Temple and Birla Museum. Overnight stay
at hotel.
Day-15: Bhopal - Panchmarhi
After breakfast, depart for Panchmarhi. En-route halt to
see the prehistoric paintings at Bhimbetka. On arrival at
Pachmarhi, check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day-16: Panchmarhi
Panchmarhi is surrounded by beautiful forests, full of breathtaking
waterfalls, serene pools and quiet glades. After a day's sightseeing
you behold the sunset at Dhupgarh, the highest point in the
Satpuras.
Day-17: Panchmarhi - Jabalpur
After breakfast, leave for Jabalpur with packed lunch from
Pipariya Tourist Motel. On arrival at Jabalpur, check into
hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day-18: Jabalpur - Mumbai
Today you will be transferred to station to board train
to Mumbai. Overnight in train.
Day-19: Departure - Mumbai
On arrival transfer to hotel for wash and change. A short
city tour in the afternoon followed by dinner. Transfer to
airport to board flight back home.
