Day-1: Mumbai
Welcome to Mumbai, the commercial capital of India. Our representatives will meet you at the airport and assist you in transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Mumbai.
Day-2: Mumbai - Aurangabad
Check out and transfer to airport to catch a connecting flight for Aurangabad. Aurangabad was built by Aurangzeb in the west central part of Maharashtra. On arrival, check into hotel. Visit the Ellora Caves in the afternoon. Overnight stay at hotel in Aurangabad.
Day-3: Aurangabad - Bhopal
After early breakfast, a day trip to Ajanta Caves. Late evening transfer to Jalgaon Railway Station to board the train for Bhopal. Overnight in train.
Day-4: Bhopal - Agra
On arrival, transfer to hotel. Later visit Sanchi. Transfer to railway station to catch a connecting train to Agra. On arrival, transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day-5: Agra - Varanasi
After breakfast, sightseeing tour of the Agra city. Later transfer to airport to board a flight to Varanasi or Banaras, one of the oldest cities in the world. Varanasi is known as the center of the Hindu faith since very ancient times. On arrival, check into hotel for overnight stay.
Day-6: Varanasi - Bodhgaya
After an early morning breakfast, a boat trip on the sacred River Ganga and visit the ghats. Leave for Bodhgaya in Bihar, the site where Buddha attained 'Enlightenment'. En-route visit Sarnath, the site where Budhha gave his first sermon after enlightenment over 2,000 years ago. The Archaeological Museum in Sarnath exhibits the Ashoka Pillar (264-226 B.C.), the emblem of India. Overnight stay at hotel in Bodhgaya.
Day-7: Bodhgaya
After breakfast, visit the Mahabodhi Temple and Niranjana River. Overnight stay at hotel in Bodhgaya.
Day-8: Bodhgaya - Patna
Check out and proceed for Patna. On the way are Rajgir and Nalanda. Both the cities have significant association with life of Buddha. Rajgir was capital of the Magadha Empire in the 6th century. Buddha spent many years here giving religious discourses. Nalanda is renowned as the world's oldest university founded in the 5th century. Patna is 2500-year-old capital city of Bihar. Overnight stay at hotel in Patna.
Day-9: Patna - Gorakhpur
Check out and proceed from Patna to Kushinagar. En-route visit Vaishali at a distance of 60 km from Patna. Vaishali is revered by the Buddhist devotees. Kushinagar is the site where Buddha achieved the stage of Mahaparinirvana. Overnight stay at hotel in Gorakhpur.
Day-10: Gorakhpur - Balrampur
Check out and depart for Balrampur. En-route visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. It is only a few kilometers inside Nepal. Overnight stay at hotel in Balrampur.
Day-11: Balrampur - Lucknow
Check out and proceed for Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh. On the way is Sravasti, where Buddha delivered many discourses. Transfer to airport to board the flight for Delhi. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.
Day-12: Delhi
After breakfast, a full day sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, i.e., Shahjahanabad and New Delhi, i.e., Lutyen's Delhi. The tour will covers the important and architecturally rich monuments of the capital city of India. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.
Day-13: Delhi
Check out and transfer to airport to catch a connecting flight for onward journey.
