Day 1: Wednesday » Mumbai
The odyssey on the Deccan Odyssey gets initiated at the Chhattrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai, the financial capital of India. Then in the night dinner can be had and sleep can be enjoyed on the luxury train.
Day 2: Thursday » Jaigadh » Ganapatipule » Ratangiri
On day two, the train odyssey men reach Bhoke which is located in Maharashtra. An air-conditioned bus takes us for a freshening boat ride to Jaigarh Fort. Then the tourists leave for Ganapatiphule by bus, only to have fun and frolic on the picturesque beach and lunch at the beatific beach resort. Ratnagiri town harbors within itself, travel riches of the order of Ratnadurg fort, Lokmanya Tilak Smarak and then the tourists can go ahead with shopping at the Ratnagiri market. Then the group leaves for Ratnaigiri railway station to hop on to the Deccan Odyssey. Dinner is had now and the overnight stay occurs in the train, itself.
Day 3: Friday » Sindhudurg » Tarkarli >>Sawantwadi
On day three, the group reaches, Sindhudurg Nagari railway station in the beginning of the day. Then, a happy ride in an air-conditioned bus to Malvan Jetty and the Sindhudurg Sea Fort, follow up the morning engagements. The, the posse of tourists leaves for Tarkali beach resort, where the group can enjoy at the beach. A boat cruise from Tarkali creek to Kalse Jetty will leave the tourists dazzled with the beauty of the pristine water body in the locality. Now, Sawantwadi is reached and shopping can be indulged in at the exotic and traditional crafts village nomenclatured as 'Shilpagrama'. Then we move for the Sawantwadi railway station to board the Deccan Odyssey. Dinner is served at the stipulated time and the night stay occurs on the train.
Day 4: Saturday » Goa
The tourists reach Karmali railway station in Goa in the first half of day four's morning. A bus will take the tourists to Old Goa to witness the spectacle of the church architecture in Goa and the historical structures are of the order of the Basilica of Jesus and the beautiful church of St. Francis of Assisi. Then, the groups of tourists leave for Panjim, to enjoy the city and market. Lunch is had at the thrilling and worth a visit Fort Aguada beach resort. Then the travelers leave for the profoundly popular and beatific Dona Paula Beach. Then the flock of nature seekers shift on to Madgaon Railway Station and return to the Deccan Odyssey to devour a sumptuous dinner and a subsequent overnight stay happens in the train itself.
Day 5: Sunday » Pune
Pune, in Maharashtra, is home to the old central market, Mahatma Phule Mandai, and the exotic Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, the Osho International Commune, and Sir David Sasoon Synagogue whose foundation stone was laid in 1867. All this sightseeing is followed by a sumptuous lunch at the grand Le Meridien in Pune. Then, the flock of tourists has an opportunity to explore the Tribal Museum, the much renowned Aga Khan Palace and the much in demand sound and light show at the legendary Shaniwarwada. The group returns to the Deccan Odyssey to have dinner and for a subsequent stay in the train for the night.
Day 6: Monday » Aurangabad
Aurangabad includes the sightseeing attractions of the order of Daulatabad fort, the Ellora Caves, known all across the land for their temples hewn out of rocks. Lunch is had along with the cultural programme at the Taj Hotel. Other destinations, which are there to be savored by the tourists, are of the order of Shivaji museum, Bibi ka Maqbara and the mystical Aurangabad Caves. In the market local crafts, which have attained legendary proportions in the pantheon of regional handicrafts such as Paithani sarees, Bidriwork and Himroo work, are shopped for rigorously. Deccan Odyssey is reached and dinner is served for a further stay in the luxury train.
Day 7: Tuesday » Ajanta and Nashik
The group of tourists reaches Jalgaon railway station and proceeds to Fardapur resort. Breakfast is had and the group leaves for the much in demand Ajanta Caves. The cave temples of Ajanta are in demand for their exotic carvings and high murals, which make Ajanta caves a travel destination, which is much sought after. Then the time comes for the group to leave for Nashik, another hot and favored destination in India. Lunch is had on the train, itself and Nashik is reached. Nashik includes within its ambit, travel destinations of the order of, the Panchawati Ghat and the one and only Sula Winery. Dinner is had at the well stocked winery and then the tourists board the luxuriant Deccan Odyssey. The day ends with an overnight stay at the train, which happens to be a cornucopia of delights to suit the fancy of the tourists.
Day 8: Wednesday » Mumbai
Breakfast is had at the Deccan Odyssey, which reaches Mumbai, India's answer to Hollywood. Once the train reaches the Mumbai station then one can leave with strong and pleasant memories of the much prized and cherished of all travel tours, the memorable Deccan Odyssey.
