Fairy Queen is the oldest rolling locomotive in the world. The journey of Fairy Queen began in the year 1855 AD and continued till 1908 AD. The regular operation was discontinued in 1908 due to some reasons. Indian Railways once again started its regular operation in July1997 as a 'Heritage Train' running between Delhi and Alwar. From Alwar, the tourists are taken to the famous Sariksa Wildlife Sanctuary by luxury bus.
The 1 Night / 2 Days journey of the Fairy queen is a memorable one. In such a short period of time, you get an opportunity to visit the historical city of Delhi, small town of Alwar and the renowned Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary. The train departs from Delhi Cantonment Railway Station every 2nd and 4th Saturdays from October to March.

1000 hrs.: Departure From Delhi Cantonment Station

1600 hrs.: Arrival at Alwar Railway Station
1620 hrs.: Departure From Alwar by Air-Conditioned Coach
1730 hrs.: Arrival at Hotel Tiger Den
1930 hrs.: Cultural Programs / Theme Dinner / Night Stay at Hotel
Day 02 - Sunday
0630 hrs.: Jeep Safari for Tiger Sanctuary
0930 hrs.: Return from Sanctuary and Breakfast at Tiger Den Hotel
1200 hrs.: Departure From Sariska by Air-Conditioned Coach
1245 hrs.: Arrival at Alwar Railway Station
1300 hrs.: Departure From Alwar
1330 hrs.: Lunch on Board
1600 hrs.: Light Refreshments on Board
1845 hrs.: Arrival at Delhi Cantonment Railway Station.
