Day 01: Mumbai
Welcome to Mumbai, the commercial capital of India. Our representatives will meet you at the airport on arrival and assist you in transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Mumbai.
Day 02: Mumbai » Aurangabad
After breakfast, morning sightseeing tour of Mumbai city, which includes a visit to Kamla Nehru Park, Hanging Gardens, Chowpatty Beach, Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan, Dhobi Ghat and Gateway of India. A drive through the Crawford Market, Marine Drive and Flora Fountain will give you the feel of the city.
Check out at 1200 hrs. Late evening transfer to railway station to board the night train to Aurangabad. Overnight on board.
Day 03: Aurangabad
Arrival at Aurangabad in the morning and transfer to hotel. The entire day is for the tour of the Ajanta Caves. Located 99-km away from Aurangabad, Ajanta Caves were carved out from the 2nd century BC to 6th century AD. The exquisite paintings and sculptures of Ajanta are the masterpieces of Buddhist religious art. Overnight stay at the hotel in Aurangabad.
Day 04: Aurangabad
After breakfast, an excursion of Ellora Caves located 29 km from Aurangabad. The 34 rock cut caves are date from the 4th to 9th century AD. The reflect the perfect harmony among the three major religions of India, namely, Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism. The outstanding specimen of Ellora is the Kailash Temple. Day 05: Aurangabad » Hyderabad
Morning is free at leisure. Check out from the hotel at 1200 hrs. Evening transfer to railway station to board night train to Hyderabad. Overnight on board.
Day 06: Hyderabad
Arrival at Hyderabad in the morning and transfer to hotel. Hyderabad is the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Tour of Hyderabad begins in afternoon, which includes the visit to Charminar often described as the "Arch of Triumph of the East", Mecca Mosque, Salar Jung Museum and High Court buildings. Day 07: Hyderabad » Chennai
Morning is free at leisure or an option of a tour to Golconda. Check out at 1200 hrs. Evening transfer to railway station to board the night train to Chennai. Overnight on board.
Day 08: Chennai
Arrival at Chennai in the morning and transfer to hotel. Chennai is the capital of Tamil Nadu and considered the Gateway to South India. The tour of the city begins in the afternoon, which includes a visit to the museum to see the Art and Bronze Gallery. Drive through the Flower and Fruit Market, High Court, Fort Museum, Marina Beach, Santhome Cathedral and Snake Park to know more about the city. Overnight stay hotel in Chennai.
Day 09: Chennai » Kanchipuram » Mahabalipuram » Chennai
After breakfast, full day excursion tour of the important temple sites of South India, namely, Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram. Kanchipuram is at a distance of 64 kms from Chennai and is the ancient capital of the Pallavas. The city is famous as the City of 1000 Temples out of which 124 shrines are still there. The first temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was built between the 7th and 8th century AD. It is embellished with paintings on the walls. The noteworthy temples are that of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy. Kanchipuram is also famous for its pure silk saris.
Mahabalipuram is famous for some of the most outstanding architectural and sculptural temples in India. The marvelous cave temples and massive open-air relief's carved out of the blocks of granite were constructed around the 7th century AD. Day 10: Chennai » Mysore
Check out and morning transfer to railway station to board the train for Mysore, known as the Imperial City of South India. Arrival at Mysore and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay hotel in Mysore.
Day 11: Mysore » Belur » Halebid » Sravanbelgola » Mysore
After breakfast, full day excursion tour of Belur and Halebid. The Chenna Kesava Temple of Belur was built 900 years ago and is a superb example of Hoysala art. Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara Temples at Halebid were built in the 12th century AD and are masterpieces of Hindu art.
While returning, you will visit Sravanbelgola. Sravanbelgola is famous for the statue of Lord Gomateshwara hewn out of a single rock. It is visible from a distance of 25 km. The statue is bathed with milk and honey once every 12 years. Overnight stay at hotel in Mysore.
Day 12: Mysore » Bangalore
Check out and drive to Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. Check out and transfer to airport to catch a flight for Mumbai. On arrival at Mumbai, transfer to the city centre. Late evening transfer to the international airport.
